Rutland Cranes was brought in to support an overhead crane specialist with the replacement of a hoist motor at a factory in Kettering. The project required working within tight headroom over an existing gantry crane inside a live facility — a perfect scenario to demonstrate the versatility of our Hoeflon C6 compact crane.

Our Solution
After a thorough site survey, we deployed the Hoeflon C6 compact crane, equipped with a hydraulic luffing and telescopic fly-jib. This allowed us to execute precise “up-and-over” manoeuvre to navigate the steel roof beams and position the new hoist accurately.
Thanks to its quick setup time — fully operational within 10 minutes of arrival — the C6 enabled our team to complete the lift efficiently and with minimal disruption to factory operations.
